Howdy partner!

I'm Sam Hancock, a Portland-based artist with a passion for photography, graphic design, and videography. I've been a freelance photographer for over a decade, working with hundreds of clients across the Pacific Northwest. My goal? To create energizing visuals that make people feel something—whether it's a stunning photo or a bold graphic that gives you a little dopamine boost.

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Sco Ducks!). For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of being the in-house marketing manager for Mortgage Express here in Portland. Oregon is home base, but I’ve always had international aspirations.

When I'm not behind the camera, you can usually find me traveling the world with my wife Heléne (wayyy out of my league) , exploring new places, and indulging in local cuisines. So far, we’ve checked off some amazing spots like The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and South Africa, just to name a few.

I'm also an outdoor enthusiast—I love surfing and rock climbing because there's nothing like the peace I find in nature. Lately, I’ve been diving into wildlife photography, and I’m constantly daydreaming about future trips to Botswana and Zimbabwe to capture some incredible shots.
